In the great tradition of appeasing the masses, I am attempting to get out of my earlier lateness debacle by mocking America, my homeland.

Of course, it’s trendy to mock America right now, mostly because French jokes are getting a little tired (never fired, dropped once; reverse is for being attacked from the front; etc.) For some reason this means I feel okay about making fun of a country, except that I’m American, so I pretty much feel okay making fun of anything, like this, this, this and this. No shame at all. ‘s Awesome, really.

Oh no I didn’t?

Indeed, I did.

And, make no mistake, I can hear you nipping at my heels, telling me you don’t want to see me posting all this random crap for no apparent reason which has nothing to do with anything, that I need to hurry up and get my shit in gear, because my audience has the attention span of a ten year old and will rapidly lose interest. I’m already struggling because I moved away from my mediawiki blog extension, and now that I’m doing it the right way I’ve got to convince people there’s a reason to stick around. I need to get to posting cutting edge gaming news and deeply meaningful soul searching or my blog is going to become morbidly disinteresting, at which point I would take stock in my work, assess whether I should go on, and maybe admit that it was time.

But I ask of each of you that while I get used to Word Press, you settle down and not really worry about the death of the blog while its life is starting, and give me a chance to hook some regulars with some standard issue political humor and the ever-popular mocking of trends. I’ll have interesting content real soon now.
