Am I the only person who resents having to pay for SMS when I’m already paying for unlimited data?

    hell yes, that is incredibly lame and annoying.. that’s why i try to minimize sms usage. and since i have an iphone i use im apps.

    SMS technically does not go out on the same band as data, or even voice. It’s part of the command and control stream, so it actually does cost them more than data. Just not that much more, and it would be stupid simple for them to implement SMS into the rest of their IP stream.
